The Contender Australia

The Contender Australia is a critically acclaimed reality series, following a group of professional boxers from Australia and the pacific rim, as they compete in a knockout style competition for the chance to win the title of ‘The Contender' Australia. 

The series is based on the successful international format devised by Mark Burnett Productions who have produced 5 Series throughout the USA and Asia raising the profile of the sport and bringing boxing to a broader audience throughout the world. 

This series will highlight what many boxing fans already know, that boxing takes much more than strength and agility, it take passion...and courage....and it's a skilled art that many can hope to master, but very few will succeed. 

Series premiere on Fox 8 Monday 2^nd November, 2009.
